Sneakers Plus

Sneakers PLUS is a family-owned and operated chain of athletic stores with a proud history that began in September 1979. Founders Chris and Frances Gacos opened the first location in Flemington, NJ—a modest 1,700-square-foot store that quickly became a trusted name in the community.

In 1984, Chris’ brother Peter joined the family business, bringing Sneakers PLUS to the Jersey Shore. He opened his first location in Brick, NJ, followed by an expansion to Wall, NJ, in 1987.

In January 2004, the Flemington store relocated to a larger space at 318 Highway 202 North. This move not only allowed the store to better serve its customers but also paved the way for Sneakers PLUS to expand its online presence. Today, the company proudly supports schools, leagues, businesses, and more with its specialized services.
